Montana Communities to get $390,000 in technology grants if they apply

A Texas-based foundation kicked off a campaign to give free computer technology to underserved communities in Montana, the Wotanin Wowapi reported.

Montana is earmarked to receive $390,000 in grants this year for computer hardware from the Beaumont Foundation of America.

The $350 million foundation began accepting grant applications in early January from non-profit, faith-based and community groups, libraries, schools and individuals in need.

The deadline for the first grant cycle is March 31, the Wotanin reported.
