Bozeman, Montana photonics firm Photon Machines Inc. bought by billion-dollar tech company Teledyne Technologies

A subsidiary of the multi-billion-dollar company Teledyne Technologies http://teledyne.com/ has bought locally based photonics company Photon Machines Inc. http://www.photon-machines.com/ Terms of the March 31 sale were not disclosed.

It’s unknown exactly how the deal will affect the roughly 10 employees who work at the 4,000-square-foot manufacturing facility north of Bozeman off Manley Road.

Shannon Bice, production manager and manufacturing engineer, declined to give specifics but said the company would stay in the Gallatin Valley "for sure."
