New Deer Lodge Development Group hopes to further economic development of Deer Lodge

A new non-profit group hopes to encourage economic development in Deer Lodge.

When Sherrill Kraakmo moved back to her hometown of Deer Lodge recently, she was disappointed how much the town had slid economically.

She recently put together the Deer Lodge Development Group http://www.deerlodgedevelopmentgroup.org/ that plans to work with business owners and local politicians to try and revitalize and restore the town.
She says the development group can focus on promoting the town and what it has to offer to help existing businesses prosper.
