Montana Office of Public Instruction gets $1.8M to help children on reservations

The state Office of Public Instruction has received more than $1.8 million in federal funds over the next four years to support the well-being of children in public schools on Indian reservations in Montana, state Superintendent Denise Juneau said Thursday.

The grants came from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It will allow the Office of Public Instruction to continue its work on the Fort Peck, Crow and Northern Cheyenne reservations to provide "wraparound" services of families.
