MSU continues EHHD dean search; interim appointments announced

As you know MSU conducted a search for a new dean for the College of Education Health and Human Development this spring to replace Larry Baker who retired. While we had an excellent pool of finalists, the right fit for a new dean was not found. Our existing search committee has extended the search for a pool of finalists to visit campus in September. We hope to have a new dean in place by Jan. 1, 2013.
In the interim, Carl Fox, dean of MSU's Graduate School, will take the helm of EHHD effective Monday, July 16, 2012. He will return to the Graduate School after a new EHHD dean is hired. Carl has worked extensively with the graduate programs in EHHD and knows the faculty very well. He's a good fit for the college during this interim.
