University of Montana West Campus thriving despite lack of space

Teaching a class in half of a trailer makes interruptions a little easier to deal with.

In the middle of nursing instructor Carrie Miller’s class, a man opened the door to the trailer, marked with a sign reading “Griz House 2,” not expecting to see a class of 17 students taking notes from a Powerpoint presentation on Alzheimer’s disease.

Sheepishly, the man apologized and backed away as he quietly shut the door.

“What an interesting day it’s been,” Miller said.

It’s been an interesting semester, truth be told, on the University of Montana’s College of Technology http://www.cte.umt.edu/ campus.
