If you’re going to be in the Seattle area… Zero Energy Idea House to open in Bellevue, Washington

The Zero Energy Idea House, built to demonstrate how a home can produce almost as much energy as it consumes, will be open to the public from 10/15/09 to 11/15/09.
The recently completed house, at 840 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE in the Bass Cove area of Bellevue, is the brain child of Donna and Riley Shirey of Shirey Contracting Inc. They say they built the structure to inspire other homeowners to adopt technologies that work toward energy independence.
