Helena, Montana: The town recession forgot

While consumer confidence nationally hasn’t yet crept out of its spending cave, there are good indicators that economic recovery is unfolding like a spring flower from the icy Montana soil.

And those indices are strong in Helena http://helenacvb.visitmt.com/ , a positive sign that, while slowing, the economy here hasn’t ground to a halt and is showing signs of life at the other end of the tunnel.

History has shown that government towns in particular weather economic storms better than most, and that is being validated now.
