Career mentors at Bozeman High

The high school has identified as a major problem that it has “lots of kids with lots of potential who don’t know what they want to do.”

Bozeman High School senior Britta Kallestad loves music and thinks she may want to be an elementary school music teacher.

Sophomore Nate Giullian loves playing drums with the marching band.

And senior Kyle Gaffney has a passion for recording music and plans to study music production and engineering in college.

“I really like to press the buttons,” Gaffney said.

All three students spent their lunch period Wednesday meeting with two professional musicians, Chris Cunningham and Jim Averitt, to learn more about the ups and downs of pursuing music as a career.
