Learning from other states: Oregon’s land planning

As Ravalli County ponders the instruction, given it by the voters in a referendum, to implement countywide zoning, it may be helpful to look at what some other states have done. The Ravalli Republic will look at three different approaches to land-use planning from three different states – one very resource protective, a second very laissez faire, and a third that follows a middle ground.
