Community Colleges Organize Consortium to help Manufacturing Companies in Michigan

Consortium to hold training program

Manufacturing companies that need employee training funds can participate in a new consortium spearheaded by Washtenaw Community College’s Business and Industry Services department and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center.

The training consortium, which would begin in 2006, will concentrate on employee training in advanced manufacturing, tapping funds from the Michigan’s Economic Development Job Training Grant and Manufacturing Competitiveness Program.
