New Webpage Asks for Views on Montana Public Schools

The Legislative Interim Committee on Quality Schools today opened a new webpage
for Montanans to share their views on public schools with the Montana
Legislature. The public survey is available at http://www.mtk12funding.org

The Legislative Interim Committee is conducting a comprehensive needs assessment
of Montana public schools. Information is being sought from a wide variety of
sources including school districts and the public. The information will be used
to build a new school funding system to be presented to a special legislative
session this December.

"Anyone interested sharing your opinion about the current condition in your
schools and about how important that condition is to your local community should
take a few moments to complete the survey," said State Superintendent Linda
McCulloch.

Montanans have until July 25th to take the survey.
