Wyoming System will help job seekers

The Wyoming Department of Employment is testing a new system that will allow Internet users to tap into a wealth of employment and labor force information.

"Answers: A National and State Workforce and Employment Research System" will help job seekers look for work across the nation via America’s Job Bank. Users will be able to do searches by keywords and job titles, which can be refined by designating particular locations and wage ranges desired.

Another portion of the site will provide a host of economic data, including employment projections, income and earnings, and Consumer Price Index statistics.

Tom Gallagher, manager of the Research and Planning Section, said training will be available for persons interested in "Answers," as well as another research tool that already exists on the Web site, http://doe.state.wy.us/LMI/. It can be found under the publications linked called "Wyoming Staffing Patterns and Wages."
