Rural broadband grants explained

Sometimes, if the private sector isn’t willing to make an investment in rural America, it’s up to the federal government to help ensure that the country’s more sparsely populated areas don’t get trapped on the wrong side of the "digital divide."
That was the message from Hilda Gay Legg, who spoke in Helena Wednesday morning at a workshop designed to explain the process of applying for USDA loans to upgrade broadband telecommunications service.
