Rural Community Development Initiative Seeks Grant Applications

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Housing Service is inviting applications for funding under its Rural Community Development Initiative. The Initiative is aimed at developing community capacity in rural areas to undertake projects related to housing, community facilities, or community and economic development.

Matching grants of $50,000 to $500,000 are available to support the efforts of intermediary organizations in providing the financial and technical assistance needed to build long-term community capacity. Applications are due by January 25, 2005.
