“Film is a powerful tool for economic development,” Governor Bullock said. “Productions bring jobs to our industry professionals and money to our communities, while the projects themselves live on to share with audiences around the globe what Montana has to offer.”
“At the end of the day we’re saving taxpayers money,” he said, “and showing this is the desire of students and staff, who wanted to be environmentally conscious.”
MCPS Communications Director Hatton Littman says this project is being developed in an effort to educate the community about the potential of solar energy.
The goal of this project is to attract developers, businesses and entrepreneurs to invest in developing/occupying underutilized properties in downtown Great Falls. Ultimate uses of properties could include retail, dining, entertainment, office, housing or other.
“This is not fireproofing, and this isn’t necessarily going to reduce occurrence. What we’re really interested in is reducing some of that intensity,” said Missoula District Ranger Jen Hensiek.
Businesses and organizations that wish to participate are invited to apply to the MSU Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Applications are due by July 29.
