Like a Christmas fruitcake, the $1.4 trillion federal spending package just passed by Congress is chock-full of rich goodies for Montana State University and other Montana campuses.
“For us, the big thing continues to be continuity of funding,” said Missoula airport director Cris Jensen. “When funds start and stop, it’s hard to plan a large construction project around that.”
Some worry that this will infantilize students in the very place where they’re expected to grow into adults, further training them to see surveillance as a normal part of living, whether they like it or not.
The event offers the opportunity for adults of all ages to connect and build relationships with each other, creating a stronger sense of community and belonging.
