Missoula, Montana led population gains in the state between 2024-25

In Montana, Missoula marked the largest population growth up 718 new residents to 79,000. Billings led the population decline down 206 people to 121,000.

Missoula’s Downtown SAM Project Transforms Streets with Citizen Input

The Downtown Safety, Access, and Mobility project incorporates feedback from 18 citizens to redesign key streets, adding bike lanes and adjusting traffic flow. This collaborative effort aims to enhance urban mobility while preserving the community’s character and trees.
