Hells Angels’ finds plenty of fun in Cody during its World Run. Next year – Portugal

Carl from Rhode Island rode 2,300 miles to get here. Jose G. visited the rodeo and even rode a bull. A man from Germany and his Austrian friend have decided to stay a few extra days.

All the men are first-time visitors to Cody, and all said they’re having a great time. And they all happen to be members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.

"I love it here," said Jose, who was hanging out behind the bucking chutes Friday at the Cody Nite Rodeo. "The locals are great, everybody’s been really good. It’s good people here."

Jose had struck up a friendship with Shawn Moulton, a rodeo cowboy from Powell, Wyo. Moulton had served as a sort of 60-second mentor before Jose’s first bull ride Thursday night.

"Shawn really helped me a lot, along with my brother, Cowboy," Jose said, referring to another member of the motorcycle club.

Hells Angels depart Cody
Portugal rumored for club’s next World Run

If the rumors are true, Park County law enforcement leaders might want to start brushing up on their Portugese.

Following the completion of a peaceful and relatively quiet Hells Angels World Run, Portugal has been mentioned as a possible location for next year’s event. Which means local law enforcement can expect plenty of inquiries from Portugese cops seeking advice.
