Flathead Summer Jobs Program Offers Exciting Opportunities for Local Youth

Kalispell Chamber of Commerce

The WorkForce Flathead Summer Jobs Program is back and offering
local youth the chance to gain valuable work experience and to earn money during the
summer months.

This program provides an excellent opportunity for Flathead area high school and college
students to gain practical experience in a variety of industries, including hospitality,
healthcare, construction, manufacturing, business, and more. Participants will have the
opportunity to work with local businesses and organizations, learning essential skills such
as customer service, time management, and teamwork.

“The WorkForce Flathead Summer Jobs Program is an excellent opportunity for our youth
to gain valuable work experience while also receiving essential skills, training, and
mentorship throughout the summer,” said program coordinator, Jenn Cronk. “We are
thrilled to be able to offer this program again and connect our local businesses with
talented and motivated young people.”

The program is a collaboration between WorkForce Flathead and local businesses, with the
goal of connecting youth ages 1619 with meaningful job opportunities that help them
develop important workplace skills, explore potential career paths, and contribute to the
local economy. Participating Students will be matched with Local Employers based on their
skills and interests, and will work for a minimum of 6 weeks during the summer months.

Applications for the program are now open and can be found on the WorkForce Flathead
website. The student priority application deadline to apply is April 6th, so interested youth
are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Employer application is open as well.
