Anne Hedges
Anne Hedges is Executive Director of the Montana Environmental Information Center, where she has worked since 1993. MEIC is dedicated to protecting and restoring Montana’s land, air, water,and climate and defending the public’s right to know and participate. MEIC works to protect Montanans’ right to a clean and healthful environment through advocacy,education, legislation, litigation and the empowerment of the public. Anne primarily works on energy policy, affordability,air quality and climate change, with an emphasis on the threats posed by data centers and the mechanism to address those threats. She received her B.S. in environmental policy analysis and planning from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. She resides in Helena.
Coltran Hophan-Nichols
Coltran Hophan-Nichols serves as Director of Systems and Research Computing at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where he oversees computational, artificial intelligence, and data systems management. With a background in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, he brings over 10 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on computational and data center systems. Coltran teaches classes on High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
Robert Morris
Robert Morris holds the Lance Energy Chair at Montana Technological University, where his work focuses on energy policy, utility regulation, and emerging infrastructure issues including data centers, nuclear energy, and critical minerals. He brings 40 years of experience in electric power systems to his role, and currently serves as Generation Work Group Chair on the Montana Governor’s Energy Task Force. Bob has taught energy topics to audiences ranging from high schoolers to college seniors and is a frequent public speaker on Montana energy issues on the road.
