2012 Montana Tourism Award Nominees To Be Honored April 12 at Montana Tourism Conference

Congratulations to the 14 nominees submitted to receive 2012 Montana Tourism Awards. The Person, Partnership, Event and Community of the Year Awards will be presented on April 12 during the Montana Tourism Conference’s Awards Banquet. Here is the list of nominees for the four awards:

Tourism Event of the Year
Nevada City Living History/ "Step Into Montana’s Past" Program
75th Anniversary Celebration of the Beartooth All-American Road
Montana Folk Festival, Butte
Big Sky Big Grass, Big Sky
Real Bird’s Little Big Horn Re-enactment, Crow Agency

Tourism Community of the Year
Big Sky (as host of the international APEC conference)

The finalist in each of these categories will be announced Thursday night, April 12, as part of the Montana Tourism Awards Banquet (7-9 pm, sponsored by Glacier Park, Inc., Best Western Heritage Inn, Great Falls). Lt Governor John Bohlinger will join Montana Tourism Advisory Council Chair Rhonda Fitzgerald, Whitefish, in presenting the awards.
