Rockin’ it rural: Montana’s Economic development advocates talk shop at Dillon conference
Economic development advocates from across the state met at the University of Montana Western in Dillon Friday for a Montana Economic Developers Association conference to talk about ways small towns can revitalize their communities.
Many of the projects highlighted were examples of community members taking economic development into their own hands rather than relying on traditional avenues.
"Economic development isn’t always only about jobs. It’s a quality of life; it’s employment; it’s tourism. It’s everything that you can bring to your community," Katie Barba, development coordinator for the Beaverhead Development Corporation
