Montana tourism backers seek first spending boost in 30 years

As they wade into the second half of their 90-day session, Montana legislators will be asked to invest about $29 million over the next two years to better promote tourism and preserve and enhance state parks and cultural and historic attractions.
It would be the first significant state increase to tourism promotion in nearly 30 years.
