  Great Falls city commissioners were confronted with an uncomfortable reality during Tuesday’s regular commission meeting. The rate the city pays for its electric supply is about to triple, adding approximately $2.1 million a year to the cost of city operations.

  “In letters to the California Public Utilities Commission seeking to curtail their expansion, the city’s Municipal Transportation Agency and County Transportation Authority documented at least 92 incidents between late May and December where self-driving taxis created mayhem on city streets — disrupting traffic, Muni transit and emergency responders.”

• France’s new law requires that large parking lots have at least 50% of their lot covered in solar canopies.
