"In the 19th century, it was sufficient to ask who you are. In the 20th century, it was sufficient to show who you are. In the 21st century you will have to prove who you are." Tate Preston, vice president at Datacard Group
I had the pleasure of attending the Washington State Governor's Economic & Workforce Development Conference in Vancouver last week. Lots of innovative ideas and examples of success in building a globally competitive economy. Gov. Gregoire presented her vision for the "Next Washington" which is outstanding. I especially find it great because the anchor for the future of Washington State is education and as you've heard me say it over and over... "The State with the Best Education Wins!" Take a few minutes and read this draft proposal if you're interested in seeing how a state economy can move forward and be a competitive global force. Vision for Schools - Gov. Gregoire: Washington State must improve education to compete globally http://www.matr.net/ar ... .html ---Russ
