Montana Business and Govt. Agency Collaboration Success
- Billings business incubator will give startups support, work space
Big Sky Economic Development, Montana State University Billings, Rocky Mountain College and Billings-based Zoot Enterprises have signed into an agreement to launch a seven-month process to develop plans for the new center. It will also serve as the new home for the local economic development group.

- Bozeman, Montana-based radar development company Flat Earth Inc. received a $2 million Small Business Innovation Research Grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to continue developing technology to assist hearing-impaired individuals.
The money is the company's second SBIR grant. Last summer, Flat Earth received $300,000 to help finalize a proof of concept for its open speech platform -- an algorithm aimed at improving the quality of hearing aid devices.
