Fourteen ventures selected as finalists for MSU $50K Venture Competition

Finalists will also gain access to experienced entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and numerous business network resources. In addition to competing for monetary prizes, finalists will receive feedback from judges and may capture the attention of investors.

First place went to the Ant Network, pitched by director and self-proclaimed “Antman” Miles Maxcer. Taking inspiration from Steve Irwin, Maxcer and his team launched the network aiming to promote science and technology through content centered around nature, specifically ants.

Teams also complete for $50,000 in awards while also having the opportunity to network with venture capitalists, investment bankers, economic developers, corporate executives, early-stage investors and successful entrepreneurs. Past winners have gone on to start successful businesses in Missoula.
