Elite cadre of MAPS students make up new production group
Rosten said their goal for MAPS Productions is to be able to employ students before and/or after their college experience.
The Nonprofit Leadership Student Association (NLSA) at the University of Montana is looking for the opportunity to help a local nonprofit with a specific concern they currently face.
Each year we partner with a local nonprofit and provide our skills and knowledge free of cost in order to better that nonprofit in any way we can. We have a dedicated group of students who will soon be Certified Nonprofit Professionals and are eager to apply their expertise to benefit a nonprofit and the community.
"Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation Donates $10,000 to MAPS"
Says Mike Halligan, Executive Director of the Washington Foundation: "It is our pleasure to continue to support the MAPS program. The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation strives to better the human condition by supporting programs and services that give people the tools to enhance the quality of their lives and to benefit society as a whole. Our foundation’s continuing support of MAPS is well earned because they consistently achieve this goal."
Even a Non-Profit Startup Needs a Revenue Model
You shouldn’t choose a non-profit, or a for-profit, because one seems easier, or one can make more money. Do it because you love the cause, the service, or the product, and the challenges will get lost in the satisfaction and results you achieve along the way.

MAPS to produce promotional film for Bitterroot Youth Home
"Working with MAPS seems like a natural fit because it encourages kids to help other kids. Not only have the MAPS students gained an understanding of what some of their peers are going through, but the project has also sparked an interest in filmmaking among our kids," said Laura Henning, Bitterroot Youth Home development coordinator.

Funding Available For Montana Projects to support historical research, creative writing and wilderness studies projects that explore Montana’s land and people.
Projects should encourage mindful stewardship of the land and contribute to the preservation of Montana’s heritage. Proposals from individuals will take precedence over those from institutions. The endowment committee recommends projects that can be completed in one year.
