Executives with the Helena-based Student Assistance Foundation confirmed it was in the midst of an ongoing "restructuring" hastened, at least in part, by an expected 40 percent loss in clients by the end of the year.

"In essence, we have to come up with that extra $80,000 and a guarantor by Nov. 11 as the absolute deadline," said Bob Giordano, executive director of Free Cycles.

Living Art of Montana uses the arts and nature to support healing by offering art and writing workshops for people dealing with illness and loss.

This is a fundraising event for the Montana Food Bank Network. All proceeds will go to hunger fighting programs statewide including the BackPack Program, Mail-A-Meal, Grocery Rescue, Mobile Food, food acquisition & distribution and education and advocacy.

What donors weren’t told they may find surprising: the debt they helped AniMeals settle was owed to Moltzen’s for-profit company.

The winning teams were chosen from a list of 86 submissions from 18 countries, with the projects assessed by 50 judges, including biologists, business leaders, venture capitalists and agricultural specialists.
