In October of 1999, Michael Brown accompanied a North Face team of top athletes as they attempted to climb and ski Shishapangma, an 8000 meter peak in the Tibetan Himalaya. Tragedy struck in the form of a massive avalanche that took the life of Bozeman climber Alex Lowe and his companion, David Bridges.

Brown’s 57- minute film The Endless Knot chronicles the friendship of two men, the love of family, overcoming survivor’s guilt and helping others to avoid a similar fate. Alex Lowe’s death was one of many sad stories that unfold when families lose loved ones in the mountains.
