Michael Sandel, a political philosopher and bestselling author, will explore themes of moral justice during his lecture, "What IS the Right Thing to Do?" given in honor of MSU’s incoming freshman class. His lecture is free and open to the public.

Free to the women who participate, the institute costs roughly $40,000 to produce and spans five days. The leaders raise funds for the program.

A graduation requirement is a group project that improves the Great Falls community, Etzwiler said.

She learned that true leaders are those who can forge through impossible odds with intelligence, compassion and resilience.

When the leader is respectful and honest, the team does not hesitate to follow.

Students gain practical boardroom experience, familiarity with the nonprofit sector, mentee opportunities and lifelong leadership skills.

MSU President Waded Cruzado welcomed Bryan Stevenson as this year’s Freshman Convocation speaker. Nearly 3,000 new students, plus 3,400 parents and community members attended the event in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
