The Montana ambassadors are saying the state’s abundant resources are creating positive economic expectations. "When it comes to developing those resources Montana takes the position of ‘all of the above.’ We aren’t going to do just renewables, just wind, just geothermal, oil and coal. We’re doing all of them," Montana Economic Officer; Evan Barrett said.

In presenting the award to President Cruzado, Governor Brian Schweitzer said of her, "There’s a whole new energy in Montana because of Waded Cruzado," and "Montana State is being recognized around the world."

It was in inspirational night for those focusing on moving Montana forward.

Schweitzer says he’s pleased to see President Obama move forward with the southern portion of the project from Cushing, Oklahoma to refineries along the Texas Gulf Coast.

"Somebody asked me why energy independence is important," Hamm said Thursday. "I said it might mean that your son doesn’t have to go fight in Afghanistan."
