It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, 12/21 & 22, Missoula

Missoula Children’s Theater adapts ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ for special needs audience

Front and center, Miss Montana 2012 Alexis Wineman watched the show among her peers. She came to celebrate the adaptive performance of "34th Street," which was shortened and featured lower light and sound levels to make it more comfortable for people on the autism spectrum or with sensory integration issues.

MCT’s ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ truly a community effort

MCT also is providing a special performance on Tuesday, Dec. 4, that’s adapted for those with autism spectrum disorders. Among the adjustments: light and sound levels will be lowered, and the theater lobby will have designated quiet areas with autism experts and trained volunteers.
