Missoula Children's Theatre

With theatergoers as the in-studio audience, Joe Martinez’s adaptation uses five actors, a sounds effects man and recorded music to bring George Bailey, Mr. Potter and the rest of Bedford Falls to life.

Front and center, Miss Montana 2012 Alexis Wineman watched the show among her peers. She came to celebrate the adaptive performance of "34th Street," which was shortened and featured lower light and sound levels to make it more comfortable for people on the autism spectrum or with sensory integration issues.

MCT also is providing a special performance on Tuesday, Dec. 4, that’s adapted for those with autism spectrum disorders. Among the adjustments: light and sound levels will be lowered, and the theater lobby will have designated quiet areas with autism experts and trained volunteers.

The Missoula Community Theatre seeks four actresses with strong vocal abilities.

We are also looking for a man with "eyes that twinkle, and dimples that are merry; cheeks like roses, and a nose like a cherry; a droll little mouth that draws up like a bow and a beard on his chin as white as the snow." In other words…Kris Kringle.

This week 5 teams from MCT unpacked from excursions to Bahrain, Japan, Korea, Spain, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Guam and the Azores, among other countries.

One of Broadway’s classics, Camelot is an icon of the American musical theatre. MCT seeks many performers of various acting abilities. No experience necessary.
