Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards Grant to Montana’s MAPS

"Clearly, Montana can and does compete on the national stage," Rosten says of the Academy grant. "Ultimately, it’s a reflection on what 12- to 17-year-old rural kids can do given the right setting, tools and people to lead them."

MAPS program receives $20,000 in grants to continue focusing on educating the next generation of filmmakers.

The MAPS Media Institute Student Film Festival, 5/18, Hamilton, Montana

The film festival is free and open to the public and was created to showcase the work of talented youth from the Bitterroot Valley.
