What exactly is Salesforce? We asked San Franciscans if they knew.
If you live, have lived, will live, or want to live in San Francisco, chances are you’ve probably heard of Salesforce. For one thing, it’s hard not to see it. The Salesforce Tower, which looms over every crevice of the Bay Area at 1,070 feet tall, is almost impossible to miss.
The tower, and other components of Salesforce’s brand (the backpacks, logo, Hawaiian shirts) seem to have taken on a kind of omnipresence in San Francisco.
Which makes sense. Many other tech companies based in the Bay Area are household topics. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t know about Facebook or Twitter or Google (though the latter would be cool).
