The ProClarity application will allow the USDA to access and analyze critical information that would otherwise be unavailable on a timely basis.

The agency can use the application to download and analyze data from inspections at more than 6,500 meat, poultry and egg processing plants throughout the country.

The application allows USDA food inspectors to analyze data and produce a report, that typically would have taken weeks to compile, in about five minutes.

USDA officials say the application will allow them to better manage and track inspection activities.
