UM Job Fair Needs Missoula Employers

The University of Montana Office of Career Services hopes to match students looking for full-time summer work with Missoula employers on- and off-campus at its first Spring Student Job Fair.

All Missoula employers with summer hiring needs who are looking for college-age applicants are invited to register for the fair.

"Students have more time in the summer and many need to work as much as possible," said UM student employment coordinator Valerie Marsh. "I have spoken with many business-owners in Missoula who have said that they are looking for employees that can work full time during the summer then transition to part time in the fall. This is an ideal situation for students and employers."

After a successful job fair last fall, Marsh said that many employers would be extremely interested in participating in a spring fair. The fair is open to any business, organization or department that needs college-students for full- or part-time jobs, internships, or volunteer opportunities. Employers with work-study openings also are invited to register.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, in the University Center Ballroom and is free to employers and students. Employer parking, as well as reserved tables, snacks and set-up assistance will be provided.

Register for the fair online before April 11 at http://www.umt.edu/studentjobs/employer. Call Valerie Marsh at 243-5460 for more information.
