Kalispell Chamber to discuss updated national policies on environmental and natural energy resources at upcoming luncheon.

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce http://www.kalispellchamber.com announced that William L. Kovacs, Senior Vice President of Environment, Technology, and Regulatory Affairs with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce https://www.uschamber.com/william-kovacs , will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Chamber luncheon on September 17.

Kovacs will discuss national policy changes in natural resources, the environment, energy, food safety, biotechnology, agriculture, and technology. Kovacs plans to assess how these proposed changes will impact Montana and how the regulatory process is critical to the Flathead Valley.

Kovacs joined the Chamber in March 1998 and since then, has transformed small disjointed meetings and focus groups into a single significant organization called the Environment, Technology and Regulatory Affairs Division. The Division initiates and leads national campaigns on complicated issues such as energy legislation, environmental rulemakings, telecommunications reform, emerging technology, and implementing good science strategies to inform crucial political processes.

"Our luncheon on September 17 provides a wonderful opportunity to acquire insight on the political changes directly affecting our environment and agricultural resources," said Kalispell Chamber President Joe Unterreinner. "The Kalispell Chamber supports many programs, events, and volunteer opportunities designed to educate the Flathead Valley, which in turn, boosts the overall positive welfare and beauty of the place so many of us call home."

The luncheon will be held at the Red Lion Kalispell Center Hotel from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 17. The luncheon is open to the public. Tickets are $19 each. The public is invited to attend for free, without lunch.
