Student entrepreneurs win $6,000 in MSU’s virtual Big Idea Challenge

Montana State University students who presented their entrepreneurial ideas at a competition held this fall at the university earned $6,000 in prize money.
Eleven student finalists delivered three-minute pitches about their ideas during the second annual Big Idea Challenge, hosted by the MSU Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship and the MSU Blackstone LaunchPad. The finalists included undergraduate students from the business college as well as finalists from the College of Letters and Science, Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering and Gallatin College MSU. Their ideas included an avalanche search drone tool, a personal safety app and device, a new smoked oyster product, and custom ear buds.
