Stevensville Business Brings National Recognition to Montana

Montana technology consulting firm eMoe.net has been awarded a distinguished Pollie award by the American Association of Political Consultants. The award was given in the category of “Best National
Grassroots Website” for work eMoe.net has done on behalf of former House Budget Committee Chairman and presidential candidate John Kasich of Ohio.

Greg Trangmoe, president of eMoe.net, traveled to San Diego last week to receive the award. He thanked his staff and Mr. Kasich for their commitment to improving the political process. “It’s always nice to
receive the recognition of your peers” Mr. Trangmoe said, “but what I’m really proud of is the way we’ve applied technology to give people a voice in their government.”

New Century Project, a group founded in the wake of Mr. Kasich’s failed 2000 presidential bid, hired eMoe.net to bring together thousands of active supporters who had backed his campaign. The resulting
web site, http://www.NewCenturyProject.org, gives group members news and information that helps them become effective leaders in their local communities. New Century Project (NCP) has used the web site to
recruit a network of state chairpersons who oversee grassroots operations in their state. State chairpersons in turn use the web site to communicate amongst themselves and with the members in their state.

Mr. Trangmoe states, “This type of grassroots effort would not have been possible just a few years ago. The Internet becomes the glue that holds the organization together.” The result is an effective national
organization that carries the combined might of thousands of active members while allowing each of the individual voices to be heard. Mr. Trangmoe concludes, “by embracing the technology you can be a
big organization and still be responsive.”

eMoe.net was formed in 1998 to fill a growing technology void among political and public affairs organizations that often lack the resources to take full advantage of available technology. Today they offer
consulting and design for government, businesses, and organizations looking for creative technology solutions. Additional information about eMoe.net is available at their corporate web site: http://www.eMoe.net

Pollie awards are presented annually to firms and individuals who produce innovative ideas in political and public affairs consulting. Judging for the awards is done by an independent panel of respected
peers, journalists and public officials.
