Professionals sought for cultural exchange to Africa

Montana’s Rotary clubs are jointly sponsoring a group of young Montana professionals on a four-week "group study exchange" to the southeast African countries of Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, and Mozambique in 2005.

Participants must not be members of Rotary International, and must be between the ages of 25 and 40.

The Rotary clubs of Montana, also known as Rotary International District 5390, will pay transportation costs and Rotarians in the host countries will provide food and lodging.

Participants must take care of their own passports, health exams, immunizations, luggage, visas, and gifts for host families. Participants stay in private homes and visit various areas of each country to see the local culture and vocations.

The trip takes place from April 5 to May 9, 2005.

Applications are available from the Dillon Rotary Club by calling 683-6437 or by sending an email to [email protected]. Applications are due no later than September 15.

Applicants will be interviewed in October. A team of four Montanans will be selected. The team will be lead by a Montana Rotary member.

For more information, call or email Dillon Rotary or call Arlene Weber at 287-3866 or email her at [email protected].
