Open for Business – ‘Pub Night’ aims to help tech startups in Helena, Montana

A Bozeman-based nonprofit that works with entrepreneurs around Montana hopes to bring technology minds and aspiring start-up owners together in an informal setting in Helena this week.

TechRanch http://www.techranch.org/ , the eight-year-old group aimed at helping the state’s entrepreneurs pursue ventures in the high-tech industry, is hosting a “Pub Night” http://matr.net/events.phtml?showdetail=2592 this Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 at Blackfoot River Brewing Co. The networking event is co-hosted by New West Health Services.

John O’Donnell, TechRanch’s executive director, said the organization holds similar events quarterly in Bozeman, with several start-ups and other business relationships as the result. This year, they plan to try entrepreneur socials in several cities around the state.
