On the brink of something big? Bozeman is becoming the place top musicians go to record

Sitting in his studio, the Bridger Mountains supplying the view through the eastern-facing windows, Dave Goodwin said, "There’s a comfort zone here.

"You can hear your muse."

Maybe it’s the scenery. Maybe it’s the handful of high-end studios. But for whatever reason, more and more musicians are recording music in Bozeman.

While it’s not Los Angeles or Nashville, not even on a small scale, Bozeman is becoming the place to record for regional bands, and even a few national acts. This city now has at least four studios, equipped with the latest equipment and experienced producers.

Top talent increasingly adds Bozeman to its tours and local producers are hoping some of them will think about recording their albums here as well.
