Northwest adds direct Helena-Minneapolis flight
Northwest Airlines said Thursday it will start daily nonstop service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Helena on May 1.

Current Northwest flights between the cities include a stop in Billings. Helena is one of a half-dozen Montana cities served by Northwest.
Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines Corp. will operate the new service with 50-passenger Canadair Regional Jets.
The service will include an evening flight leaving Minneapolis at 9:25 p.m., arriving in Helena at 10:55 p.m., and a morning flight leaving Helena at 6:10 a.m. and arriving in Minneapolis at 9:25 a.m.
Northwest also serves 14 Montana towns through its codeshare agreements with Horizon Air and Big Sky Airlines.
