Northern Kentucky University has a plan to spur state economy

Northern Kentucky University wants to create a Partnership for Regional Economic Progress, a cluster of eight projects designed to boost the economy of Northern Kentucky.
Improving the economy won’t come cheap, though.
NKU officials said the eight projects will cost a total of $24 million to start and require $9 million a year to operate.
The university is lobbying for federal and state tax dollars to pay for most of the initiatives.
