Nonprofits meet in Missoula this week (10/3-5) to brainstorm effectiveness
Nonprofit organizations will be looking to profit from a wealth of knowledge available to them this week in Missoula.
The fourth annual Montana Nonprofit Association Conference runs Monday through Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Parkside. The theme is "Mission Driven: Building Effective and Accountable Nonprofits."
Whether they’re involved with youths, the arts, agriculture or health care, nonprofit organizations all deal with the same challenges, said Brian Magee, executive director of the association.
"It’s about the exchange of ideas," Magee said.
Which is why he’s excited about this conference, the first one held in Missoula. The number of participants has doubled, and he expects 250 to 300 people from around the state to attend.
"It’ll be cozy, but I think the more, the better," Magee said.
