Multnomah County, Oregon, Social Service Application Wins International Prize

Oregon Helps http://www.oregonhelps.org/ — a multilingual Web-based tool from the Multnomah County, Oregon, Commission on Children, Families and Community — won first prize for e-government applications in the Stockholm Challenge Awards http://www.challenge.stockholm.se/ in Sweden earlier this month. Oregon Helps checks eligibility for 12 Oregon social service programs simultaneously. It assists citizens who want to privately and confidentially check their potential eligibility before doing the application paperwork.
