MSU Leadership Institute Presents A Lecture By Nobel Peace Prize Winner David Trimble, 10/15, MSU, Bozeman, MT

Tickets on sale for Nobel Peace Prize winner David Trimble lecture

Nobel Peace Prize Winner David Trimble will speak on "Transforming Religious Conflict into a Lasting Peace" at 7:30 p.m. in Strand Union Building Ballrooms A-D on Oct. 15. Tickets go on sale starting Sept. 20. Tickets are $3 for students, $8 general admission, available at all TicketsWest Outlets and the Bobcat Ticket Office.

Trimble was awarded the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Northern Ireland. In the thirty years prior to Trimble’s activism, the national, religious and social conflict in Northern Ireland had taken over 3,500 lives. Trimble advocated solutions that ultimately led to the peace agreement through his leadership in the traditionally predominant party in Northern Ireland.
