It’s a great day for MNA! Now nearly 400 nonprofits strong and growing, MNA is poised to speak with one voice about our vision for the future and the vital role that nonprofits play in community and civic life. After a year of conversation with our members, we are ready to release our public policy agenda. Now is the time!

In the true spirit of association, please join together with MNA and your colleagues for this historic event for Montana nonprofits. Participants may attend any and all activities, but we ask that you RSVP for lunch and register for the advocacy seminar if attending.

Nonprofit Day Highlights

9:30 am Nonprofit Showcase and Slide Show (Rotunda)

* Celebrate your work! The rotunda will be filled with table displays, banners, and signs that tell the story of MNA and the nonprofit sector in Montana. A slide presentation will add to the experience and take attendees out across the state where the good work of nonprofits impacts our communities.

11:30 am Lunch with Legislators (Rotunda)

* Share your story! This will be a great opportunity to visit with your legislators to let them know about the importance of your work and the vital role of the nonprofit sector in Montana. Legislators need your advice and perspective to make good policy decisions. Drop your legislators a note before hand, tell them you’ll be there, and ask them to come.

12:30 pm Vision and Voice: MNA’s Public Policy Agenda (Rotunda)

* Now’s the time to make our voices heard! After a year of conversation with our members, we are ready to release our long-term and proactive public policy agenda to build a stronger nonprofit sector and supportive public climate. The agenda will serve as the roadmap for MNA’s policy program in the coming years. This is the centerpiece of Nonprofit Day.

2:00 pm Legislative Advocacy for Nonprofits Seminar
(Great Northern Hotel)

* Build new skills! Expand your understanding of lobbying and advocacy laws and regulations, how your organization can build advocacy capacity and address the impediments that affect your ability to lobby and advocate on behalf of your mission. The seminar is designed for participants new to advocacy and lobbying. Click here for agenda, trainer bios and detailed information http://www.mtnonprofit.org/CLPI_Billings.html .

5:30 pm Conclusion of Activities

RSVP and Registration

There is no cost for Nonprofit Day activities; however, RSVP and registration are required for meal counts and seminar reservations. Please note that you do not have to attend both the Capitol Rotunda activities and the advocacy seminar. Participants may choose one or both of the events.
